I have to agree. You choose an interesting colour palette. The combination of cool grey and vibrant turquoise feels so luxurious. Everything is so bright and clean. This post shows us, that the combination of these colours is usable for every room. The interior is not only about big colourful furniture. It is about small delicious accessories, which make the detail. I like the turquoise cushions, they put the life into this rooms. But the most interesting idea is the interior with those yellow walls. Grey and turquoise can be for someone to cool, so the yellow walls can turn this place into more friendly and warm one. Thank you for sharing, it is really inspiring for all of us.

I just moved into a 1940s cottage, it is full of built ins in the livingroom that are painted white. I painted the walls a bold gray with one wall turquoise, this is the accent wall with the fireplace. There are small windows on each side of the fireplace and one large picture window. What color decor would you suggest. Would it be too much turquoise if i used a bold rug.? Thxs.. im in love with turquoise. Im thinking about painting my dining table and chairs

It was a great backdrop for my bright red couch and turquoise accents. And our new home came freshly painted in a similarly neutral beige. It has a little more red than Latte, but it’s not too orangey for me. But, it’s flat paint. I have no extra sample paint for touch ups and there’s a little girl with sticky fingers walking around this house.

I've saved some of these same images in my “inspiring” blog file, but many of them I haven't seen. LOVE the pillows in that first living room. Also haven't thought much about the gray and turquoise color combination, but I'm liking it now for sure!

LOVE. We're trying to choose a scheme for our kitchen remodel and I want gray cabinets, but can't decide if the floor should be turquoise or the walls. Wife is not convinced, but this post may push her over!

So many beautiful images- with so many stand out details. Still, their are a few that make me gasp out louda. the first bedroom's color and roman blindsb.the H&G fabric covered head and foot boardc.all the bird images- the geese painting, the framed prints, and most of all the whimsical bird mural on the gray wall behind the fabu dresser.

This post just made my day! This is my bedroom color combo, with gray being the predominant color (I have these incredible Richard Fischer silk charmeuse duvet cover/cases in a soft gunmetal). That second photo, with the duck-egg blue, is an incredible melange of blue and gray tones. Thanks for the lift! Have a great weekend! xoA

Gray and turq is not a combination I had thought of but wow, I really like it. Especially the next to the last bedroom photo. The carpet is fabulous. Erin, did you catch the short article in Thursday's NYTimes Home section on our color? Have a great weekend.

I also kind of have a domino effect going on with the living room. I’m definitely doing board and batten treatment on the walls. And so I’ve got to figure out where that’s going exactly. And I want to paint the top gray and the bottom white before I apply the boards and battens. That way I’m not doing quite as much trim painting as if I did it afterwards. I’m toying with the ideas of some built-ins in the living room as well. So, I need to figure that out before I do the board and batten treatment. See what I mean about a domino effect? I have to do it all at once, or quickly since each part will effect the other. Whew, just writing it all out makes me tired.

Back to picking paint. I got a little sidetracked and overwhelmed with that last bit. Ha! I highly recommend taking the time to pick your top favorite paint colors, getting samples, and painting them on poster board. I just used poster board from Walmart and sample paints from Lowe’s tinted to the Benjamin Moore colors. You want the color to be on the wall where you’re going to paint; you can always paint directly on the wall to get an even better idea, but I wanted to be able to take these down, and move them around the house. Check them at different times a day when the light changes in the room. I also moved these posters to the hallways where there is little to no direct sunlight. I kept a white border around each color on purpose, in order to neutralize the color. I didn’t want the new color to be right next to the original wall color.

I have finally found the color that I want to paint my open living areas and hallways, and it’s the perfect gray. Woohoo!! But before I tell you which color it is, let’s talk gray for a minute. (And if you like gray, don’t miss the bottom of this post for a link to the colors I love to pair with gray!)

It is a beautiful color. I just (and when I say I, I really mean my husband) painted our porch floor a Glidden color called Handcast pewter – I had Lowe’s mix it in Valspar. It is a darker pewter, and perfect for a porch floor. Changing things up with paint is exciting and a big bang for a small investment. I found you via Imparting Grace. Lovely to meet you!

Wow, when I saw the title of your post, I wondered if Revere Pewter would be one of your choices. We just remodeled our downstairs and chose Revere Pewter (after going through much experimentation and angst!). We are very pleased with it and have never second-guessed the decision. I think you will love it!!!

Yes, I know it’s the go-to neutral color right now. It’s sooo trendy, for sure. And I’ve wavered back and forth about whether to stick with beige or go gray. I did beige in my old house, and really liked it fine. It was Latte by Restoration Hardware.

I absolutely love these photos. I too am in love with gray right now. We recently built a home and used sandy hook gray in most of the rooms. Lighter in some rooms, darker in others. The other rooms are silver mist, rainwater and oyster bay. They all blend well with the gray. Love soothing cool tones.

Hi Suzy, the fireplace, baseboards and crown moulding were already painted when we moved in. But I painted the board and batten in Simply White by Benjamin Moore. Seems to be a pretty perfect match!
turquoise and grey bedroom 20

Hi Jess, I had to have the paint swatches from a Benjamin Moore store and then took them into Lowe’s for matching. Luckily, I have one near me. Check their Website. A lot of interior design stores carry their paint line, and even some smaller hardware stores do as well.
